Where Did pelmeni Come from?

We have been a beloved staple dish found on Russian dinner tables from Siberia in the east to St Petersburg in the west.

We have been enjoyed for so many generations that it’s hard to say exactly where we came from and who first cooked us up!

Most likely, our friends the Chinese dumplings and wontons took a stroll up over the border and were quickly adapted by Russians who loved our portability, convenience and versatility.

Though we might look similar to our Chinese counterparts, we have a unique Russian texture and taste!

A timeless classic. Made with local grass-fed beef seasoned with ground coriander, garlic, onion black pepper and pink salt, all wrapped up in our delicate pelmeni wrapper.

Local Bangalow pork is the star of the show with staple Russian ingredients, cabbage and mushroom. Seasoned with herbs and garlic, eat us boiled or parboiled and then seared in the pan for an added crunch.

PEA, MUSHROOM & POTATO PELMENI

Our vegan pea, mushroom and potato flavour is the perfect addition to a summer meal. Made with crushed pea, sautéed mushrooms and mashed potato, and seasoned with dill, garlic, onion and black pepper. Russian summer in every bite!
